The short version
1. Overview
Furrow Zones is built to know as little about you as possible. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no data sold or shared with anyone for marketing — ever.
2. Location
To build your planting calendar, the app needs to know your growing location. You can type a city or postal code, or optionally grant one-time access to your device location. Your coordinates are used to look up climate history and are sent, over encrypted connections, to three public services solely for that purpose:

None of these requests include your name, identity, or any account information. Furrow Zones has no server of its own and receives nothing back except climate data.
3. What stays on your device
Your computed climate type, zone, frost dates, chosen soil type, and planting-method preference are stored only on your device. Deleting the app deletes them. Your precise location is never stored at all — it is used once for the lookup and discarded.
4. What we don't do
No accounts or sign-in. No advertising or ad identifiers. No analytics or usage tracking. No selling, sharing, or monetizing data of any kind. No data collection from children or anyone else.
5. Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new date above.
